In a shocking turn of events, details have emerged regarding a medical emergency involving Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay that took place in December of last year. Documents obtained by Fox 59's reporter, Matt Lewis, shed light on the incident that occurred on December 8th, around 4:30 am.
Carmel Police responded to a call at Irsay's home, where they discovered the sports team owner unconscious and barely breathing. With a suspected overdose, officers found Irsay in his bed, having been moved from the bathroom by several individuals. He had oxygen in his nose, and it was apparent that immediate medical attention was required.
Police records indicate that officers administered one dose of Narcan, a medication used to reverse the effects of opioid overdose. Although Irsay showed only a slight response, paramedics arrived shortly and transported the 64-year-old to the hospital in an ambulance.
It wasn't until January 9th that the Colts organization officially announced that Irsay was undergoing treatment for a severe respiratory illness. The team expressed that Irsay was still in the process of recovering, emphasizing the need for privacy for him and his family.
