Renowned boxing fighters Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield first competed in 1996. While many thought Tyson would win, Holyfield was confident, disclosing he had sparred with Tyson in their early 20s and wasn't afraid of him. To much surprise, Holyfield defeated Tyson. In a rematch seven months later, Tyson famously bit off part of Holyfield's ear. Teddy Atlas was asked whether he was shocked when this infamous incident occurred. He recalls being at a house party on the day of the rematch. Despite Tyson's fearsome power and speed, Teddy believed Tyson lacked a deep-rooted belief in himself, leading him to predict that Tyson would get himself disqualified. Teddy observed Tyson setting an alibi by complaining about the match referee to prepare for his eventual disqualification.
