Gucci Mane's artist Hotboy Wes, real name Wesley Takquan Lewis, was sentenced to 15 years in prison after pleading guilty to 10 counts alleged in six separate indictments.
The charges include two enhanced counts of assault family violence, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, robbery, unauthorized use of a vehicle, endangering children, criminal mischief of more than $2,500 and theft from a person. The incidents reportedly happened between 2020-2023. He must serve at least 7 ½ years in prison before he is eligible for parole.
Prosecutor Christi Hunting Horse spoke after Lewis was sentenced, telling the court, "In addition to being a known gang member, Mr. Lewis has repeatedly demonstrated his complete disregard for the law,” Hunting Horse said. “Such actions have consequences. Those consequences were realized today with the sentences imposed. The state will continue in its commitment to stand up for abused women and victims of crimes."
