In a recent "Club Shay Shay" interview, rapper 21 Savage discussed his time playing football and how it ultimately led him to pursue a career in music. Although he was initially too small to play, he did join a football team due to probation requirements. Unfortunately, his playing time was cut short due to financial constraints. Nonetheless, 21 Savage believes that if he had continued playing, his height would have given him an advantage on the field.

Despite leaving school in the ninth grade, 21 Savage feels that he made the right decision to pursue a career in music rather than continuing with football. He speculates that the average NFL player may not earn as much money as successful rappers, with the exception of quarterbacks who can make millions annually.

When asked about the alleged decline of rap music, 21 Savage confidently states that his show prices are continually increasing and that he recently achieved the highest number of streams in his career. He believes that streaming can be profitable if the artist's deal is structured properly and they have a significant following.

Discussing his future plans, 21 Savage expresses interest in eventually selling his catalog, although he recognizes that he currently has a limited number of albums. He plays with the idea of becoming a billionaire through other investments, which would allow him to pass his catalog down to his children rather than selling it.

In terms of his touring experiences, 21 Savage explains that he has received immense love from international audiences, even those who may not speak English. He enjoys the passion they bring to his performances and believes that they appreciate his music even more due to his limited ability to travel in the past.

Regarding his sound, 21 Savage expresses a willingness to experiment in the future but acknowledges that he needs to reach a certain level of success before having the leverage to do so. For now, he is content with the "Savage" sound that is currently resonating with his audience.
