T-Pain recently spoke about why he takes his name off of the country songs he's worked on, as he revealed that he's gotten backlash over racism.
He explained, "Good music is good music, I don't give a f*** where it comes from or what style it comes in. All the people I know feel like it's not cool to listen to other genres of music." T-Pain then adds, "Country music is where I get all of my harmonies. Country and gospel music, that's where all of my harmonies come from."
He then adds, "I wrote a lot of country songs and stopped taking credit for it. Because as cool as it is to see your name in those credits and stuff like that, the racism that comes after it is just like, "I'll just take the check."
