Michael Vick shared his childhood memories of football and the profound influence of Allen Iverson on his career. Vick said his father played a role in his love for football despite having less-than-ideal equipment. Known as 'the bullet' for his exceptional speed and agility, Vick developed his skills with regular tennis shoes, giving him an edge when he finally wore football cleats. The football veteran also recalled meeting NBA icon Allen Iverson when he was 14 and noticing Iverson’s Rolex watch and his cool persona, which deeply impressed him. He said shared a kinship of growing up in challenging neighborhoods and rising to stardom in their respective sports. Later, Iverson would describe Vick as the football version of himself, an analogy Vick agreed with.
