Jay-Z took the stage at the 2024 Grammys to accept the Dr. Dre Global Impact Award alongside his daughter, Blue Ivy.

During his speech, Jay started off by thanking Dr. Dre for being one of the pioneers in hip-hop, and he went on to speak about following Will Smith and DJ Jazzy Jeff's lead to boycotting the Grammys in the past.

Jay-Z also called out the Recording Academy for snubbing his wife, Beyoncé, as he stated, "We love y'all. We want y'all to get it right," he said. "I don't want to embarrass this young lady, but she has more Grammys than anyone and never won album of the year. So even by your own metrics, that doesn't work."

He added, "Think about that. Most Grammys, never won album of the year. Some of you may get robbed. Some of you don't belong in the category. When I get nervous, I tell the truth."
