‘Lovers & Friends’ festival faced some heat after artists like Mary J. Blige and Juvenile called out the brand for adding them to a line-up without properly paying them or booking them in the first place. Now, Monica has commented on her name being added, noting her name being put on there is a mix-up.
While speaking to Billboard at the 2024 Grammy Awards, the singer said she was shocked to see her name on the festival line-up. “Well, I’m looking forward to the festival. I’m thinking that maybe someone will call me and actually book me — the correct way,” said Monica. She continued, “I don’t have any beef with them. We did great business before, so if you give me a call, we can work it out.” Watch above.
