Furthermore, Kirkland argues that the chances of Majors going to jail increase by taking the case to trial, as it wastes taxpayers' time and money. Instead, Kirkland suggests Majors could have settled and saved himself the backlash. However, Vlad advises against the typical belief that powerful figures like Majors can bribe their way out, as witness tampering comes with its own set of serious allegations.
