Robert Ladd of the Compton Gang Unit discussed his beliefs on the unsolved murder of iconic rap artist Biggie Smalls. He was dismissive of the common theory that Wardell ‘Poochie’ Fouse, a subsequent murder victim himself, was the triggerman. This belief was largely facilitated by former LAPD detective Greg Kading, who allegedly provided Theresa Swann immunity in exchange for her testimony. Ladd, however, believes the blame could fall on any number of Biggie’s known associates due to their violent histories and capabilities. He pointed to the likes of James McDonald (Mob James), whom Ladd admires for his perceived truthfulness. He did not accuse anyone specific but iterated that the case is far from concluded. Instead, Ladd insinuated that these scenarios were too simplistic and the case has “a lot more to it than meets the eye.”
