Part 2: Dion Dawkins on Being Arrested in College for Breaking Man's Face While Defending Teammate
--------
Three-time Pro Bowl player for the Buffalo Bills, Dion Dawkins, opened up about his difficult past, his love for his hometown, and his journey to the NFL. Raised in Rahway, New Jersey, a town separated physically and socio-economically by a train station, the offensive tackle recounted his younger years filled with organized group fights and troublemaking. Dawkins discussed his parents' blue-collar jobs and how their routine commutes shaped his upbringing. He recalled stealing a teacher's purse, spending the money on Domino's Pizza, and the aftermath, which was the start of a series of rebellious behavior. While he wasn't into drinking due to his father's job as a brewmaster, he admitted to briefly selling weed before deciding it wasn't his path. The NFL star credits his discovery of football as a turning point, eventually focusing on his talent and rising to become one of the top players in the league.
