Kobe Bryant's wife, Vanessa, announced that three statues will be created to celebrate the late Lakers legend. The first statue, unveiled outside Crypto.com Arena, commemorates the first half of Kobe's career wearing the number '8' and specifically honors his iconic 81-point game against the Toronto Raptors on January 22, 2006. Two additional statues are planned—one for the latter half of his career wearing '24' and winning championships with Pau Gasol, and another in tandem with his daughter Gianna "Gigi" Bryant. Vanessa addressed those who might have different preferences for the statue pose, stating, "For the record, Kobe picked the pose you're about to see. So if anyone has any issues with it, tough shit."
