Cameron Jamaal Hogg, a Texas man, has pleaded guilty to the murder of Asia Womack, a 21-year-old woman he fatally shot after losing a basketball game to her. Hogg was sentenced to 20 years in prison as part of a last-minute plea deal with Dallas County prosecutors. The incident occurred in 2022 when Hogg, after losing the game, left the park, returned minutes later, and confronted Womack, shooting her four times. Womack later died in the hospital. The victim's mother expressed disappointment in the sentence, feeling it undervalued her daughter's life.
