Former NFL player Michael Vick spoke candidly about signing his $130 million deal with the Falcons. He stated that earning his place in the Pro Bowl was hard fought and that he was proud of his success at such an early age. Vick mentioned that receiving the massive $36 million guaranteed signing bonus was a great thing for him, his friends, and his family. He recalled making some extravagant purchases with his newfound wealth, including a $3.3 million house. Vick also spoke about his lack of financial literacy during his football years, admitting that he didn’t quite know how to handle his wealth at the time. One significant investment Vick shared was purchasing an entire city in Union City, Georgia, intending to build strip malls and movie theaters. Unfortunately, he went bankrupt before he could find out the outcome of that venture.
