Usher stole the spotlight with his Super Bowl halftime performance, which included surprise guest spots from H.E.R., Lil Jon, Ludacris, and will.i.am.
Alicia Keys also made a big entrance by singing "If I Ain't Got You" while wearing a striking red outfit that included a massive train. Alicia and Usher also performed their duet, "My Boo," which led to some fans criticizing Usher for closely dancing on Alicia.
There were calls for Usher to apologize to Alicia's husband, Swizz Beatz, who spoke out and stated that people were focused on the wrong thing.
Swizz wrote on Instagram, "Y’all talking about the wrong damn thing !!! y’all don’t see that amazing dress covering the entire stadium ⚡️🚨😂😂😮💨😮💨😮💨😮💨 Tonight’s performance was nothing but amazing with 2 amazing Giants ! Usher had social media buzzing after his historic Super Bowl performance, which featured a host of surprise guests, including Lil Jon, Ludacris, Jermaine Dupri, H.E.R., and will.i.am.
Alicia Keys also joined Usher onstage to perform her hit song "If I Ain't Got You," and they went on to perform their duet, "My Boo." During the performance, Usher danced around Alicia and hugged her from behind while they danced to the song.
Social media users were quick to criticize Usher for the way he danced on Alicia, and some fans were calling on Usher to apologize to Alicia's husband, Swizz Beatz.
This comes amid reports that Usher and his longtime girlfriend, Jennifer "Jenn" Goicoechea, obtained a marriage license ahead of his Super Bowl performance. Usher and Goicoechea welcomed their first child together, daughter Sovereign Bo, in 2020. They had a second child, son named Sire Castrello, in 2021.
