Trick Daddy recounted growing up in Liberty City, Miami, during its peak drug years. He observed that Grand Theft Auto’s depiction of Liberty City paled in comparison to reality. During his upbringing, he noted a pervasiveness of the drug trade, explaining every corner hosted four drug spots that retailed the highest quality narcotics. Despite the heavy drug activity, crime rates remained surprisingly low. He condemned the negative impact of government projects on families, arguing they displace fathers, and consequently, youngsters turned to respected figures in the drug trade for guidance. He expressed nostalgia for the disarming innocence earlier times held when personal relations and affiliations determined one's background rather than other, more problematic, factors.
