Update: Mo'Nique and Her Husband Respond to Her Son Claiming Neither Wants to Reconcile

Mo'Nique and her husband responded to her oldest son, Shalon, saying that his mother was spreading a "false narrative" about their strained relationship and wanting to reconcile. 

Shalon stated in his video that neither he nor his mother wishes to reconcile with each other, despite Mo'Nique claiming otherwise. However, Mo'Nique told viewers that she urges them to watch this "play out," much like other things she's spoken about.

Mo'Nique's husband then addressed Shalon's claims, and he spoke about helping Shalon get a car when he was expecting his first child. He added that this is the car that Shalon is currently driving, and Mo'Nique's husband went on to speak about having a great relationship with Shalon's father. You can hear more above.

In a recent online video, Shalon, the oldest son of comedian Mo'Nique, sets the record straight about the false narrative around his mother telling Shannon Sharpe about attempts to reconcile their relationship through prayer to the universe. Shalon states that both he and his mother know that this narrative is untrue and neither of them has any desire to make an effort to reconcile with each other.

Shalon goes on to express his disappointment with his mother's behavior and lack of accountability. He shares that his mother admitted to not doing the best job as a parent and even acknowledged that she didn't have much interest in him as her son. This revelation led Shalon to question his self-worth and struggle to understand the importance of a mother in a child's life.

Moreover, Shalon expresses that his mother's love for material things outweighed her love for him. He claims she would try to validate her love by showering him with gifts, but would call him ungrateful if he didn't respond as she expected. This pattern left Shalon feeling unloved and unimportant.

Despite these difficult experiences, Shalon acknowledges that he is not a victim and is happy with his life. He has learned valuable lessons from his mother, such as how not to love and the importance of maintaining his own identity.
