JJ Redick criticized his former coach, Doc Rivers, for making excuses regarding the Milwaukee Bucks' recent struggles. Redick expressed frustration over Rivers' tendency to deflect blame and cited instances where Rivers blamed the team for poor performance. Redick particularly disagreed with Rivers' comments after the Bucks' loss to the Memphis Grizzlies, where the coach mentioned having some players in Cabo during the game. Redick accused Rivers of lacking accountability and criticized his attempt to take credit for the James Harden trade to the Los Angeles Clippers. Redick played under Rivers from 2013 to 2017 and isn't the only one to express dissatisfaction with Rivers, as others like Rasheed Wallace and Josh Smith have also criticized him in the past.
