FBG Butta sat down with VladTV to discuss his personal life, including his father's murder over a love triangle. His father was killed by his girlfriend's boyfriend over a dispute; the boyfriend, who was convicted of manslaughter, is set to be released in 2024. Discussing how he coped with his father's death, Butta shared that his stepdad played an important role in his life as a father figure, even when his biological father was alive. He also described a transformational road trip he took from Chicago to Los Angeles, stating that it offered him a chance to experience life beyond his hometown. When asked about a possible confrontation with his father's killer after his release, Butta responded, "I would tell him to go and live his life."
