Passengers on a recent American Airlines flight from New Mexico to Chicago found themselves in a terrifying situation when a man reportedly tried to open the emergency exit door mid-flight. The dramatic incident left many on board feeling panicked and anxious.
According to witnesses, the man, described as a large individual standing at 6'3", began frantically attempting to open the airplane door while shouting that he needed to get off the plane. Passengers immediately sprang into action, with some trying to physically restrain him and prevent him from causing a potentially catastrophic situation.
Fortunately, the quick thinking of the passengers and crew on board helped avert a disaster. When the plane finally landed in Chicago, Albuquerque Police were ready to take the unruly passenger into custody. He was promptly handcuffed and removed from the aircraft, much to the relief of those on board.
