Antonio Brown discussed the tensions against former teammate Ben Roethlisberger. Brown admitted to having previously called Roethlisberger a racist but clarified his previous comments, stating that he didn't think Roethlisberger was a racist, mentioning that the quarterback used to have black girlfriends. He blamed any perceived racism on the adversities that Roethlisberger had experienced throughout his career which might have shaped the way he interacted with his teammates. Brown praised Roethlisberger’s leadership skills but also implied that jealousy often arose from the quarterback's role in the team. The wide receiver also confessed to having called Roethlisberger a “loser”, clarifying that he was referring to their collective failure to win as a team rather than as individuals. He concluded by saying that he used such controversial words to challenge and motivate his teammates.
