Comedian Michael Blackson recently responded to Katt Williams' comments about him in an interview with VladTV. Blackson referred to Katt as a "fake pimp with a real perm" during one of his performances at The Funny Bone, after Katt insulted Blackson by calling him a "real African with a fake accent." Despite the insult, Blackson praised Williams for his smart comedy and clarified that it was all part of their tit-for-tat humor. Blackson defended himself against the possibility of being booed on stage, remarking that he has only ever experienced it once due to inappropriate content during a college gig. On the subject of top comedians, Blackson named Williams as one of his top ten, also listing Eddie Murphy, Chris Rock, Martin Lawrence, Dave Chappelle, Kevin Hart, and Mike Epps amongst others, adding himself as the 10th. Blackson added that, though some great comedians are past their prime, their legacy lives on.
