After a long and emotional trial, justice has finally been served in the case of the murder of legendary Run-DMC superstar Jam Master Jay. Karl Jordan Jr. and Ronald Washington have been found guilty on all charges related to the 2002 murder.

The five-week trial involved a total of 35 witnesses and relied heavily on witness testimony to establish guilt. The jury deliberated for two days before reaching a verdict, with multiple requests for testimony readbacks along the way.

Upon hearing the guilty verdict, emotions ran high in the courtroom. Washington and Jordan both expressed disbelief and suggested that they were innocent of the charges. Family members of the defendants also reacted strongly, with one family member even physically resisting being removed from the courtroom by marshals.

Jam Master Jay's death occurred more than 21 years ago, on October 30, 2002. During the trial, prosecutors argued that Washington and Jordan ambushed him at his studio over a failed drug deal, with Jordan accused of being the triggerman.

The possible sentence for both men is a minimum of 20 years and a maximum of life in prison. Family and fans of the Hip-Hop pioneer expressed a sense of closure and justice after the verdict. The U.S. attorney, along with members of the NYPD and ATF, are expected to address the media later to provide further details on the case and the verdict.

A third defendant, Jay Bryant, will be tried at a later date.
