Two men, Kaliq Talib McCallister and Christian Tyler Knight, both from Las Vegas, were arrested at Dulles International Airport after U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers discovered over 70 pounds of marijuana in their checked baggage. The officers found large vacuum-sealed bags filled with suspected marijuana in three suitcases bound for a flight to Keflavik, Iceland, ultimately headed to Paris, France, where the drug could be sold at a higher price.
Both men were charged with felony possession with intent to distribute, transportation, and narcotics conspiracy. The confiscated marijuana, totaling 72 pounds and 15 ounces, could be valued at $350,000 in the U.S. and even more in Paris.
