Previously, Glock switch inventor Jorge Leon admitted he regrets creating the device due to its misuse in major cities worldwide. 

Now, legislators have reportedly made possession of the “Glock switch” a state crime. The news comes after a George County deputy named Jeremy Malone had his life taken as a result of one of the devices. 

The House reportedly passed the “Glock switch” bill this past Tuesday and named it after Malone. Reports noted the Senate voted the bill out of the committee, and the bill is set to hit the floor to be voted on. As of now, possession of a Glock switch is a federal crime.
