The accident itself involved Crews putting an extension cord in his mouth, which ultimately exploded. The result was a large keloid on his lip, a reminder of just how close he came to losing his life.
Terry went on to explain that he had the keloid removed during high school, but the scar remains as a reminder of the terrifying incident. He considers himself lucky to have survived the accident, as it could have easily been fatal given his young age at the time.
In reflecting on the incident, Terry expressed gratitude that he was not electrocuted and credits a higher power for sparing his life. He believes that the scar serves as a constant reminder of the fragility of life and how quickly things can change in an instant.
