Legendary rap mogul Dr. Dre, is set to receive a star on the prestigious Hollywood Walk of Fame. Known for his incredible success as a solo artist and as a member of N.W.A., Dr. Dre has sold over 15 million albums worldwide. His contributions to the music industry have solidified his place as one of the greatest producers and rappers of all time.
Aftermath Records, the record label founded by Dr. Dre in 1996, has been responsible for launching the careers of many successful artists. In addition to his work in the music industry, Dr. Dre also co-founded Beats headphones, which became a multi-billion dollar business before being sold to Apple in 2014.
The star-studded ceremony honoring Dr. Dre will take place on Tuesday, March 19th. The event will feature speeches from record executive Jimmy Iovine and longtime friend, Snoop Dogg. Snoop Dogg, who will also be Dr. Dre's neighbor on the Walk of Fame, will be sharing his thoughts on the impact that Dr. Dre has had on the music industry.
Dr. Dre's star will be located at 6840 Hollywood Boulevard, near other music legends who have been honored with stars on the Walk of Fame.
