In recent years, R. Kelly has become a controversial figure in the music industry due to numerous allegations of sexual misconduct and abuse. While some may know him as a talented R&B singer and songwriter, others, like comedian Lil Rel, have had less-than-pleasant encounters with him.

Kelly created his own VIP section without permission.
According to Lil Rel, R. Kelly's behavior at the party, as well as on the set of the music video for "Trapped in the Closet," raised red flags. He described a situation where R. Kelly prohibited other women from talking to Lil Rel and his brother, leaving them feeling ostracized and confused.
