Part 2: French Montana on Selling Crack at 16: My Block was Like "Snowfall"
--------
In this clip, French Montana opened up about his troubled youth in Morocco before his family moved to the U.S. After his father's multiple incarcerations, Montana and his mother moved to the U.S. when he was thirteen due to limited opportunities in North Africa. However, he was left in an alien-like state when his visa expired after six months, and his father abandoned the family to return back to Morocco. With no documentation, Montana couldn’t get a job or attend college, trapping him in a challenging situation where resorting to selling drugs seemed to be one of his only options.
