Former gang member Mob James discusses an event that put him at odds with his brother. When his brother was facing potential jail time over charges of child abuse, their dying mother asked James to testify on his brother's behalf. At court, James explained to the jury the circumstances of being raised in a gang culture and how it impacted their parenting. James' testimony led to all charges being dropped. However, rumors circulated implying that James had broken gang code by testifying. The issue was further complicated by miscommunication and misunderstanding within their family. He asserts that his motivations were familial rather than disloyal, stating on record that: "I love my family."
