This scene was emotional and raw, showcasing the dark and hard-hitting themes of the movie. Despite not knowing the impact the film would have, Lil Rel felt that there was something special about it.

After landing the role in "Get Out," Lil Rel went on to receive critical acclaim for his performance, leading to more opportunities and bigger paychecks. He shared that the success of the film changed the pay scale for him and opened doors to more opportunities in Hollywood.

Reflecting on his journey from his humble beginnings in stand-up comedy to becoming a household name in Hollywood, Lil Rel expressed his gratitude for the support of his friends and peers in the industry. When asked about his first big check, Lil Rel spoke about getting paid SAG minimum for the movie, which was around $3,000 a week. He added that the film was made on a "Tubi budget," and Lil Rel spoke about how the backend checks were different.
