DDG stated that the process involved the involvement of their respective labels. Epic Records, DDG's label, paid for the feature, albeit indirectly from DDG's revenue. While discussing his association with NBA YoungBoy, DDG revealed that he never met YoungBoy. Their collaboration was a result of shared connections and mutual respect. Respectively, YoungBoy charged more for his contribution than Gunna. Nonetheless, DDG felt the expensive feature was financially justifiable as an investment in his career. He also reflected on the successes of his songs featuring both artists, highlighting their respective growths and impacts on his musical journey.
