Due to his affiliation as a Blood and being alone, The Game prepared for a potential confrontation. He described experiencing relief when Nipsey pulled out a CD instead of a weapon. The Game praised Nipsey for his hustle and intelligence, comparing him to the revolutionary late rapper Tupac Shakur. After this incident, The Game called the number on the CD case, inviting Nipsey to his studio. They collaborated on a couple of songs, marking the beginning of their musical relationship.
