Former NBA player Sebastian Telfair commented on the allegations of mental and physical abuse made by Cassie against her ex-boyfriend, Sean "Diddy" Combs. Cassie also alleged that Combs forced her to have sex with male prostitutes in front of him and became violent when she refused. Telfair showed sympathy towards the situation but expressed skepticism over the claims due to the length of their relationship and the accompanying lifestyle. He also compared Cassie's case to his own personal experience of being falsely accused by an ex-girlfriend. Telfair shared that he was able to prove his innocence by providing a recording of a conversation where his ex admitted to lying to the police, although she was still allowed to testify against him in court. He emphasized the difficulties for men in situations where women make false allegations.
