Gilbert Arenas recently spoke about the controversy surrounding Kobe Bryant's parents selling off some of their late son's memorabilia. Arenas expressed his understanding, revealing that it is most likely due to financial constraints since Bryant never lavished them with riches as many other NBA superstars might for their parents. He also emphasized that the strained relationship between Bryant and his parents started with Bryant’s marriage against their wishes and continued until his death, which could justify why his parents have had to resort to selling Bryant's memorabilia to maintain their living standard. Adding to the complexity, Arenas argued that it is within the parents' rights to sell what was gifted to them by their son. While Vanessa Bryant, Kobe’s wife, might have an issue with it, Arenas mentioned that she would likely have plenty of Kobe memorabilia herself. During the clip, Arenas also reflected on his 60-point game against Kobe Bryant.
