Marcellus Wiley and DJ Vlad engaged in a heated debate over J. Cole's recent apology to Kendrick Lamar for a diss track he released. The debate started with the pair reminiscing about their shared experience as Californian kids exposed to a range of music influences. They discussed in detail the origins of the Kendrick and Cole feud which came to a head with a verse on "Like That." Wiley and Vlad disagreed about the quality of Cole's response track, with Vlad considering it weak and soft. The climax of their argument came with Cole's public apology to Kendrick, which Vlad saw as a sign of weakness. Wiley, however, disagreed, lauding J. Cole for his maturity and ability to resolve conflicts quickly, drawing a comparison to friendly competition in basketball.
