Jorge Masvidal, who holds the record for the fastest knockout in UFC history with his five-second demolition of Ben Askren, revealed how he was able to deliver the devastating flying knee that did the damage. Masvidal spent extensive time honing his skills for this technique. However, he clarified that in practice, he would pull back the power to protect his sparring partners. Masvidal noted that the knee hit Askren right on the chin, a spot that guarantees maximum impact. He credits a reality TV show he participated in that helped him rehabilitate from injuries and refocus his mental and physical energies toward his fighting career. The process allowed him to develop a solid game plan, which he said helped frame his mindset for the Askren fight.
