DJ Vlad spoke with Marcellus Wiley about the revenue from YouTube interviews, countering Shannon Sharpe's claim of earning $6 million for one. Vlad argued that, being an experienced YouTuber, such a figure seems high. After calculating the potential income based on the number of views and advertising runs, Vlad and Wiley determined that Sharpe could have made around $500,000 to $1 million from the interview – much less than the reported $6 million. Vlad also revealed his frustration with Sharpe not participating in others' podcasts despite inviting many guests to his own show, suggesting that it contradicts the collaborative nature of podcasting. He claimed that he offers to participate in the shows of all his own podcast guests, irrespective of the size of their platform.
