Jorge Masvidal opened up about his brief retirement from MMA, stating that he fell into depression and saw his father go back to jail during this period. He found comfort in getting back into training and working out regularly, which helped him focus and solve problems again. Following his return from retirement, Masvidal is now specializing in boxing, having negotiated a deal with UFC, and is looking forward to future matches. Addressing the recent allegations made by fellow fighter Colby Covington, who accused him of using PEDs, Masvidal dismissed them as attempts to garner attention. Masvidal concluded by implying that Covington’s accusations were irrelevant and nonsensical, stating that he "wears skirts and goes to sleep wearing thongs."
