Hip-hop artist Yelawolf continued to discuss his career highlights and talked about how artists such as Kendrick Lamar, Meek Mill, and Mac Miller, who shared the cover of the XXL Freshman issue with him, influenced him. Yelawolf remembered late rapper Mac Miller warmly, noting the tight-knit bond between them. He then discussed his collaboration with Ed Sheeran early in the British musician’s career, before he became world-renowned, on the EP "Slumdon Bridge." Yelawolf praised Sheeran’s talent and revealed how he hadn’t listened to Sheeran’s music prior to working with him. Towards the end of 2015, Yelawolf released his gold-certified album "Love Story," which is his most successful project to date. The album’s singles, "Til It's Gone" and “Best Friend,” featuring Eminem, both went platinum. Reflecting on this, Yelawolf emphasized how his passion for American culture and hip-hop fusion inspired him more than commercial success.
