Jorge Masvidal has launched a bare-knuckle fighting league dubbed "The Most Violent Show on Earth." The league, in contrast to bare-knuckle boxing, includes kicks, knees, and elbows but no ground or jiu-jitsu moves. Masvidal emphasized the distinctive risks and rewards of bare-knuckle fighting, such as how the absence of gloves facilitates better positioning and lock techniques. He also discussed how the technique could potentially increase submissions, with eight to nine finishes occurring per show. However, he ruled out the possibility of him fighting bare knuckle due to his previous hand injuries. He further compared MMA's perceived violence against the lasting damage inflicted in traditional boxing, arguing that MMA, in fact, promotes less long-term trauma.
