Michael Jai White debunked some common myths about the Hollywood industry. Responding to the question of blackballing, White stated that this is largely a thing of the past and not something that holds sway in contemporary Hollywood unless an individual commits a serious crime. Distancing himself from the popular belief that individuals need to "bend over" or compromise their values to make it in Hollywood, White referred to such assertions as "stupid." He explained that the industry is heavily unionized, and individuals engaging in such exploitative practices would face repercussions if discovered. He also dismissed the notion of actors being compelled to play stereotypical roles or embody certain appearances, asserting that no one has such overarching power in the industry. He suggested that old, outdated beliefs need to be discarded to better understand the realities of the modern film industry.
