In a recent interview, Vivek Ramaswamy shared his thoughts on the state of civil rights in America, echoing sentiments from civil rights icon Martin Luther King Jr. Ramaswamy, who endorsed Donald Trump shortly after stepping down, touched upon the current legal challenges Trump faces, calling them politicized persecutions that undermine the American judicial system. Ramaswamy pointed out that Trump's legal battles are reflective of deeper systemic issues. He argued that political bias, like racial bias in the past, can unfairly influence prosecution. Drawing a historical parallel, Ramaswamy noted that just as individuals were once more likely to be prosecuted based on race, political figures today, particularly those aligned with Trump, face similar biases. According to Ramaswamy, the principle of unbiased justice is core to the nation’s values. He believes that the U.S. has made significant strides in civil rights, reaching what MLK termed as the "Promised Land." Still, he insists the modern struggle continues, emphasizing that legal impartiality should hold true irrespective of political affiliation, race, or gender.
