Former mobster Dominick Cicale shared insights into the stringent rules within the Mafia surrounding members with past drug convictions. Cicale talked about being mentioned as a candidate to become a made man. However, a Mafia rule mandated a five-year moratorium on making members who had drug cases. Cicale, still within the five-year window, found his induction delayed. Frustrated, he initially rejected the need to be "made." Finally, in 2004, Cicale's induction was approved, followed by a traditional ceremony. Despite initial reluctance, he accepted the title. Shortly after, Cicale was promoted to acting captain.
