Arenas highlighted how both teams missed a significant number of threes, making the games sloppy. Arenas emphasized that the Celtics, known for their athleticism, chose to take numerous low-percentage shots rather than leveraging their physical advantages to attack the basket. He pointed out that when Celtics guard Jaylen Brown did drive, no one could stop him. Arenas criticized the growing influence of analytics and the Steph Curry effect, which leads teams to mimic a high-volume three-point shooting approach that only elite shooters like Curry can execute effectively. He suggested that teams should focus on strategies that align with their unique strengths rather than copying the play style of teams with exceptional shooters.
