Jeweler and music industry insider Ben Baller unveiled a story about how he managed to get 2Pac and Faith Evans to collaborate on a song during the height of 2Pac's notorious feud with Biggie Smalls. The unexpected alliance began at a birthday party for Jada Pinkett, who was dating Ben's close friend, Tony Smith. Ben was working at Priority Records at the time, handling various artists, including an R&B group called The Truth. Faith Evans, who was then in the throes of the east coast-west coast hip-hop war alongside her husband Biggie, was providing vocal coaching for the group. Despite the prevailing tensions, Ben managed to secure clearances from prominent industry figures such as Russell Simmons and Puff Daddy. The pivotal moment came when 2Pac, intrigued by a remix featuring Faith Evans, agreed to be part of the project, even amidst his beef with Biggie. Tragically, 2Pac passed shortly after this agreement.
