Jonathan Jacob Meijer, known for fathering over 100 children through sperm donation, has faced bans from multiple clinics for surpassing limits on the number of offspring a donor can have. Meijer discussed his experiences with various recipient families, including John and Joyce. John, who was initially unable to conceive due to a vasectomy, turned to Meijer after failed reversal attempts. The process involved direct visits to their home, highlighting Meijer’s dedication to helping couples build families.
Meijer explained his respect for heterosexual couples struggling with infertility, maintaining boundaries to ensure the father's primary role. He also noted that although a minority of his donations were to heterosexual couples, none showed jealousy. Meijer's practices eventually led to controversy when it was revealed that donors were not allowed to father more than 25 children to prevent inadvertent sibling relationships. Meijer, having donated to various clinics, accumulated 105 known children, leading to his ban after concerns and complaints arose from both clinics and recipients.
