Jonathan Jacob Meijer shared his thoughts on historical figures with even more offspring than him. When presented with Genghis Khan's staggering legacy, Meijer expressed a sense of awe but maintained a distinct perspective on his own contributions. Meijer acknowledged the remarkable data suggesting that around 16 million people today are descended from the infamous Mongol conqueror, equating to one in 200 individuals worldwide. He also learned about other prolific figures, such as Malay Ismail with 900-1200 children, scientist Berthold Weisner with over 900, and British sperm donor Simon Watson with 800. Despite these numbers, Meijer downplayed competition, emphasizing the personal value he finds in his unique journey. Meijer, who turned 43, reflected on his unconventional path, his missed experiences of traditional fatherhood, and his aspirations for a more settled life.
