Spice opened up about her humble beginnings in Portmore, Jamaica, where she shared a single bed with her five siblings. Growing up in such conditions ignited her dreams of a better future. Despite the struggles, including going to bed hungry, she found solace in music, initially singing at her local church at six years old. Spice recalls her father’s influence, who fueled her passion for music before his untimely death when she was nine. Tragedy struck again when her family home burned down, leaving them homeless. Despite these hardships, Spice persevered. Her path to stardom started with performances in Jamaica, eventually catching the eye of dancehall legend Bounty Killer. Her big break came at the Sting concert, one of the largest stages in Jamaican music, which became a pivotal moment in her career.
