In his interview with DJ Akademiks, DJ Vlad recounted his experience of being scammed over a fake interview with rapper Bossman DLow. Vlad explained that his booking agent, who has successfully secured numerous interviews in the past, received a request for an interview, which included an unusually low deposit fee, raising initial suspicion. Despite feeling fishy, Vlad went ahead with the payment after assurances from his agent.
However, after the initial deposit, the scammers upped their demands, citing a misunderstanding and requesting more money, which Vlad refused. Upon further investigation, it was revealed that the scammers had spoofed the phone number listed on Bossman DLow’s official Instagram page. They had already conned several others using the same method. Following this, Vlad went public to alert Bossman DLow, who confirmed his camp wasn't aware of the situation, leading to the compromised number being removed. Determined to recover the lost money, Vlad mentioned plans to file a police report against the scammers.
